Government Mortgage Rescue Scheme flops - Wednesday 21 July
The latest figures from the Government have revealed that only 629 households have been helped by their own "Mortgage Rescue" (sale and rent back) scheme since January 2009. The Government has also announced that they propose to reduce funding to their scheme at the end of this year - which will very likely reduce the number of households helped in future.
Buy House, up until 16th October 2009, together with our FSA authorised sale and rent back partner, have got close to helping that number of households - and we are small fry compared to the Government. Furthermore, our FSA authorised partner does not receive any funding from the Government (moreso, they actually have to pay money *to* the Government for each household they assist withe their sale and rent back scheme!).
If you are considering using the Government's Mortgage Rescue Scheme then contact us now so that we can introduce you to our FSA authorised sale and rent back partner to see if they can help you incase the Government scheme cannot. Some of our partner's underwriters are permanently located in our office - so they will usually be able to speak to you immediately when you contact us.
